This practice is inspired by a Bhutanese folk saying that suggests contemplating death five times daily is essential for happiness.

The WeCroak invitations arrive unpredictably, mirroring the unpredictability of death itself. When an invitation appears, you can open the app to find a quote about death from a poet, philosopher, or notable thinker.

We encourage you to take a moment for contemplation, conscious breathing, or meditation when the WeCroak notifications arrive. Regularly contemplating mortality can inspire much-needed change, foster acceptance, help us let go of trivial matters, and appreciate what truly matters in life.

Subscription Information:

WeCroak offers an optional monthly subscription called "Leap." The subscription costs $1.99 per month and will be charged to your Apple ID account upon confirmation of purchase. The subscription automatically renews unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel your subscriptions by accessing your App Store account settings after purchase.
